COPLESTONIANS 0 FRAMLINGHAM TOWN 9

Coplestonians were blown off Notcutts Park by a Framlingham Town team who played with high energy not allowing Cops to settle on the ball. On 7 minutes Hackett brought a save from Abel in the Fram goal before keeper Howells at the other end had to make a save from his own defender. Fram were using both wings to great effect stretching the home defence and on 15 minutes opened the scoring when Peacher shot over the keeper from a tight angle before the same player set up Carroll - Chambers who missed his shot from close range. Before Fram increased their lead, two opportunities went begging however, it was Peacher who doubled the lead; Whittingstall’s low cross was turned in by Frams number 11 on 23 minutes. Cops were chasing shadows as Fram scored their third and fourth goals before half time, firstly Whittingstall curled a low shot beyond the keeper on 26 minutes before Carroll- Chambers chased a ball on the left and rifled a shot in on 40 minutes. Three goals in the first 8 minutes of the second half gave the managers the opportunity to start rolling on their subs. Whittingstall on 47, Carroll- Chambers on 51 and Whittingstall with his hat trick ball, on 55 minutes were the scorers. As Fram continued to dominate Carroll- Chambers was denied his hat trick by an excellent save before the same player provided Rodwell with the opportunity to score on 72 minutes. Whittingstall scored his fourth and Frams 9th on 92 minutes to give the Castlemen a great start to the season.
