This first fixture of the New Year saw Fram score six goals including an Ethan Whittingstall hat-trick and they out played Ipswich Wanderers in all areas.

The visitors had some good possession however home keeper George Able was rarely tested apart from a spectacular save in the 86th minute.

Wanderers had a couple of early shots before Dale Pearce headed into the keepers arms. Fram opened the scoring on 11 minutes when man of the match Ethan Whittingstall held the ball up on the left before playing in Ashton Darwell-Taylor to prod the ball in before keeper Godbold could collect.

Fram almost doubled their lead on 23 minutes, Callum Knights met an excellent cross from Sam Bright but his shot hit the post and Wanderers scrambled the ball for a corner. Four minutes later Ethan scored his first of the night and Fram’s second when Darwell-Taylor headed goal wards for the number 7 to steer the ball across the keeper.

Wanderers continued to huff and puff without making any inroads past Fram’s defence that was well marshalled by Corey Hayward and Harvey Staff. Fullwood went narrowly wide from distance for the visitors before a third goal went in for Fram, Ethan rounded the keeper and the ball went over the goal line before a defender cleared.

Fram came out for the second half bombarding the visitors goal, Darwell-Taylor twice shooting narrowly wide before an excellent save by Godbold denied Brooks a goal. On 65 minutes Harrison Tompkins kept the ball alive in the penalty area and Pearse turned in his low cross in from close range.

It was 5 for Fram ten minutes later when the lively Darwell-Taylor shot across the keeper from inside the penalty area.

The save of the night came from the home keeper four minutes from time when a Wanderers forward's shot was destined for the top corner, Able leapt and grasped the ball and a quick release upfield had the visitors defence all at sea and Ethan pounced to lift the ball over the keeper to complete his hat-trick and give Fram a deserved 6-0 victory.
