Leiston came to Badingham Road boasting an unbeaten 6 match run and maximum points in the league including a narrow 4-3 win against the Castlemen earlier in the season. The visitors had the better of the early possession with Mason Sinclair shooting wide on 2 minutes. As Fram came more into the game they took the lead on 8 minutes when Ethan Whittingstall took the ball wide on the right and his cross eluded the keeper to nestle in the net. Leiston pushed forward and a free kick was floated towards the Fram goal only for the unfortunate Able to parry the ball into the path of Max Cowan to head in from close range 5 minutes later. The game was end to end and played at a good pace, both Tomkins and Brooks had half chances before a crude challenge on Whittingstall ended the number 11’s game through a leg injury, the referee only issuing a yellow card to the defender. Two minutes later Leiston took the lead, a low cross was diverted by the keeper into the path of Connick who made no mistake. Sub Rodwell brought a save from the Leiston keeper before Tomkins shot wide to end the half. The second half was being played at the same pace as the first half with Fram creating some chances and on 59 minutes they got a deserved equaliser when Tomkins ran onto a diagonal ball to cross for Owen Pierce to power the ball into the roof of the net. Leiston pushed forward however the Fram defence held firm, two free kicks went wide before Fram opened up the Leiston defence on the attack but were unable to find a winner. Both sides gave it their all and it was an entertaining game for the 50 spectators at Badingham Road on a chilly evening.
