Liam was hampered before kick off with the absence of five regular players however those who gained a place did themselves and the club proud and never gave up.
The Bees raced into a second minute lead when the defence did not deal with a long throw and Anderson ghosted in before tapping home from close range. Fram conceded two early corners from which Turpin brought a save from Lay-Fulcher before the home side increased their lead on 17 minutes when Odukoya lashed a loose ball in across the keeper. In between those goals Okoye’s attempted clearance from a Mason free kick had hit his own crossbar. On 21 minutes Doyle’s point blank header was turned over the bar by Lay- Fulcher (Gordon Banks type save!). Paxman then shot over the bar before Aldis shot against the bar with the home keeper prone. Another chance went begging for Fram when a cross from Willett evaded Danny Smith for Carl Mayhew to have his shot cleared off the line by Turpin. Two minutes before the break Gabby Adelowo turned in a loose ball from a corner to make it 3-0.

Lay-Fulcher made another excellent block when Odukoya fired in a shot before Basildon grabbed a fourth goal less than a minute after the restart, Kurt Smith’s run ended with Doyle guiding the ball into the back of the net before Danny Smith curled a shot narrowly wide before Kurt Smith then scored direct from a corner on 57 minutes. Lay-Fulcher made a brave save at the feet of Doyle before the home side scored a sixth when Odukoya’s lay off was drilled past the keeper from 25 yards out. Cobblah and Smith were denied by the busy Lay-Fulcher before the home captain Norton scored on 63 minutes. Danny Smith netted a great free kick with the last action of the game however all Fram’s players must be applauded for a 100% effort on a hot afternoon against a strong Step 4 outfit.
