Framlingham Town put on a great team performance and played some of their best football of this current season.

The visitors fielded the same team as last week and took the game to a Lakenheath side sitting third in the league.

Fram should have put this game beyond the home side in the first half with numerous chances and some excellent saves from keeper Coombe. Willett’s early shot was collected by the keeper and two shots at goal from Ling and Danny Smith resulted in blocks from the home defence however on 18 minutes Fram took a deserved lead, Joe Berry turning in Danny Smith’s low cross before Mallett’s long range effort hit the top of the bar.

On 26 minutes an exchange of passes between Willett and Ling resulted in Loran clearing off the line for another Fram corner. Ling then brought a great save from the keeper before a Willett cross found Lawrence whose header from close range was saved.

Lakenheath had a couple of chances Grogan headed wide from a free kick before Jimmy Mayhew made a last ditch tackle on Wozniac to concede a corner. Fram had another chance on 49 minutes when a diagonal ball from Ling found Willett who beat the keeper to the ball that rolled inches wide.

A minute later the home side equalised when Hawley turned the ball in before Avis put the home side ahead five minutes later. Fram showed some great team spirit and equalised on 73 minutes, Lings pass forward found Berry who lifted the ball over the advancing keeper.

Lakenheath then piled on the pressure on the Fram defence and two goals on 81 and 84 minutes from Avis and substitute Mazey that gave the home side the three points. It was a disappointing result however Fram must take this team spirit and performance forward for the remainder of the season.
