Anglian Combination Division One side Bungay Town were the opponents for this first round of the Suffolk Senior Cup, a team who had yet to win in the league.
However with ex-Haughley and Diss manager Jason Cook building his team it was not going to be an easy task. Fram were without a number of key players, so once again Liam brought in replacements from the reserves and Youth sides. Lay Fulcher was brought into the action early collecting shots from James and Tubby before the home keeper saved Danny and then Charlie Smith's shots.
Ransome was then tackled strongly and received lengthy treatment before the same player provided the pass for Max Willett to open the scoring on 33 minutes.
Two minutes later a rasping drive on the half volley from Danny Smith doubled the score.
The home side found themselves offside regularly as the Fram defence remained disciplined.
Lewis Dyer replaced Danny Smith at half time following a heavy fall at the end of the first half. On 61 minutes the home side almost scored, Bayne’s header was blocked; the rebound was headed onto the bar before Lay Fulcher fell on the ball to avert the danger.
On 78 minutes Jono Fryatt was through on goal only for keeper Riches to block before the number 10 put the rebound over the bar.
Fram were pushing for a third and it came on 89 minutes, good interplay, including sub Callum Knights, found the unmarked Lewis Dyer who slotted past the keeper to secure a place in the next round.
