In front of a good sized crowd Fram went out of this Cup on penalties after coming from behind to an early Debenham goal.
A golden chance fell to the visitors in the third minute when Chilvers dropped the ball in front of goal, however three attempts to put the ball in the net failed and the home side went up the other end a minute later and opened the scoring when Garrard swept the ball in from a cross from Austin, the ball looping over the outstretched Rose in the Fram goal.
The wind was playing a part in the match the players finding in hard to control the ball, Fram pushed the Debenham defence back in the first half and were playing good passing football. Taylor blocked a low cross from Danny Smith to concede a corner and Chilvers was brought into action on three occasions saving from Danny Smith twice and Matt Aldis.
Fram had a number of corners however the home defence cleared the danger. Gary Rose saved from Crowe before Mason Ransome was allowed to run from the half way line and his shot clipped the outside of the post with the keeper beaten.
The second half belonged to Fram with their possession and passing football and on 69 minutes Danny Smith equalised when the ball was played forward into the penalty area and the number 9 steered his shot across the keeper and off the inside of the post. Fryatt then shot over the bar from close range and Crowe clipped the bar for the home side however, neither side could find a winner so onto penalties.
The home side secured victory following Frams ninth penalty being saved by ex Fram keeper Sam Chilvers, the second time this season the Castlemen have failed to secure victory in cup matches through penalties.
